Assessment tools
Respect Works offers two assessment tools to help organizations establish a baseline for program development: an Organizational Readiness checklist and a scientifically validated Respectful Workplace Climate Scale.
The Organizational readiness is a downloadable self-assessment tool construction leaders can use to gauge their organization's readiness to build a respectful workplace. Leaders rate four areas — leadership commitment, policies and procedures, jobsite practices, and accountability — as "doing well," "needs improvement," or "not on our radar."
The Respectful Workplace Climate Scale is a scientifically validated survey tool designed to measure employee perceptions of company policies, procedures and practices as they relate to building a respectful workplace. Adapted specifically to the construction environment, the scale provides a reliable way to assess workplace culture and identify opportunities for improvement. The survey can be implemented to assess company culture or jobsite culture.
